What is Telehealth?
Telehealth incorporates technology such as video conferencing or telephone communication to deliver healthcare consultations. This means that instead of having to travel to our clinic, you can access the Top to Toe team instantly from home or office through your mobile phone, computer or tablet.
How do I set up Telehealth?
Simple. Simply click on the link sent to your mobile or email address. This will then place you in a waiting room for your therapists to then start the appointment. No downloads are required!
We use HotDocs which is a secure and encrypted leading online platform designed in Australia. You can be assured your privacy is guaranteed.
Is it effective?
Recent studies have shown that telehealth can in fact be just as effective as on-site consultations. It is the preferred option for many of our patients especially if transportation, safety or social anxiety is an issue.
Can I use my private health insurance?
Yes, provided this is included in your extras cover.
How are payments taken?
We can either process your payment over the phone and then email you a receipt. Or when you book online via Hotdoc, you can safely enter your credit card details for payment processing only after your appointment has concluded.
What if my internet is not working?
This can happen to all of us. If you are unable to access the internet, we will continue your Telehealth appointment over the phone.
I would like to book a telehealth appointment online. How can I do this?
Easy. Click here, and you will be taken to our HotDoc online booking portal. Simply select the name of the therapist you wish to see, whether you are a new or existing patient, and then select Telehealth. You will then receive a confirmation via email or your mobile or Hotdoc app.
How long does a telehealth appointment go for?
This depends on the type of therapist you are seeing. Typically a psychology review will run for 50 minutes whilst an Exercise Physiology review will run for 30 minutes.
